Watkin’s Glen Opening Day is almost here!
Experience the twists and turns of our world-reknown road course from the driver’s seat of your personal vehicle. Take your car on the track for three paced laps behind an official WGI vehicle for $25 per vehicle, per three laps. Proceeds benefit several local charities.
Proceeds from the 2015 Opening Weekend will benefit The NASCAR Foundation and local charities. In the past, The Glen and Opening Weekend participants have donated to Autism Speaks, Food Bank of the Southern Tier, JDRF [Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation] and Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection.
We will meet at Eastview Mall, Victor NY, in the parking lot near Macy’s between 9:00 and 9:30am.
Driver’s meeting will be when the Buffalo group arrives. We’ll go over the route, what to do if you get lost, etc. Departure from Eastview Mall will be at 9:45.
We will be taking a scenic ride through the Finger Lakes countryside. The trip to WGI should take about 2 hours with a quick break half way.
