Photo Contest Rules

There are 4 categories that are judged in the contest. Best of Photo, Most Humorous, Most Creative and Anything Goes.  The Anything Goes category for the members who want to bend a few photographic rules. At this time, we are not accepting AI generated images in any category. Please indicate if you want to enter the Anything Goes category, only those who request same will be in that category.

1. The contest is open to all members and family members, submissions will be through webmaster@niagarapca.org.
2. Each participant may submit up to 3 photos.
3. Submissions must be received by the deadline. I respond to each submission. If you don’t get a response, please check with me to confirm that I received your submission.
4. Photos submitted must be at least 1 megabyte in size. Photos must be in JPEG format.
5. Basic editing, including color enhancement, use of filters, and cropping of the photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the photo(s).
6. Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding or removing of significant elements within the frame are prohibited. (Except in the Anything Goes category)
7. AI-Generated images are prohibited.
8. Photos submitted cannot be older than 3 years.
9. By entering, entrant grants Niagara Region PCA, a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, display, distribute, and promote the submitted image in connection with the contest, including on the organizer’s website, social media channels, printed materials.
10. A signed model and/or property release for all identifiable individuals and private properties depicted is required, and will be supplied upon request.
11. Please do not embed your entries, it automatically reduces the size of the file. Please attach the file to your email. Thank you.
