National PCA Communicable Disease Waiver announced
I hope you are all doing well, adjusting to a new normal due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Unfortunately, we have had to cancel or postpone all our spring events so far. New York State and our region, the Finger Lakes region are entering Phase 2 of re-opening. As we consider how we can safely begin to host events that meet the NYS guidelines, PCA national has implemented a new waiver and Member Safety Guidelines. Our priority is the safety of our members and their families.
There is a now a PCA Communicable Disease Waiver (CDW) that will be required at some events per below. Please know that the intent of the CDW is to allow us to get back to events as quickly as practical in a responsible manner.
- You can find the updated Communicable Disease Waiver at this link. The CDW is good from signing and until May 26th, 2021.
- The CDW will only be required at events that are held in controlled access spaces. This eliminates the complication of managing waivers in a public space such as a parking lot at a coffee shop or at a concours. Controlled access events are moving car events or social events where you have pre-registration and collection of registration fees.
The new Member Safety Guidelines can be viewed at this link.
Niagara is developing procedures for managing these new requirements. Additional information will be provided as we move forward.
