Watkins Glen Opening Weekend*

Track waivers are being required again this year. You will need a waiver in hand to be signed at the track, and they are promoting advance ticket purchases. There will be no organized run this year. 

Opening Day at Watkins Glen… the unofficial start to the driving season. Experience the twists and turns of our world-renown road course from the driver’s seat of your personal vehicle. Take your car on the track for three paced laps behind an official WGI vehicle.

IMPORTANT NOTES FROM WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL:

• ALL PARTICIPANTS INSIDE THE VEHICLE MUST PRINT AND BRING THE REQUIRED TRACK WAIVERS TO THE EVENT. ONE WAIVER PER ADULT. MINOR WAIVERS ARE REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18.
• TRACK WAIVERS MUST BE SIGNED IN PERSON (WITH PERSONAL WRITING UTENSIL) AT THE EVENT IN THE PRESENCE OF TRACK PERSONNEL.

Proceeds from the 2023 Opening Weekend will benefit Watkins Glen International’s RACE (Racing and Community Enrichment) Foundation and local charities.  The mission of R.A.C.E. (Racing And Community Enrichment) is to meet the needs of local underserved populations with a focus on youth-oriented support. A donor-advised fund of the NASCAR Foundation, The RACE Foundation will use the backing of a close-knit community to foster meaningful fundraising efforts, as well as lean on support from the international racing family.
