Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp Centennial Celebration Car Rally*
Rochester, NY 14617
The Rochester Rotary is Celebrating the Sunshine Camp’s 100th Year Anniversary. The Sunshine Camp specializes in providing a free one week camping experience for children and their families with special needs and disabilities. Rochester Rotary has reached out to see if Niagara PCA would be interested in doing a “car parade” of sorts to help celebrate the Camp’s Centennial.
The Camp originally started at Durand Eastman Park and is now located at its current site in Rush, NY. The idea was to start this Car Rally from the camp’s original site to where it is today. The Rally route incorporates the best the greater Rochester area has to offer to include magnificent views of the Lake Ontario shoreline, a tour of a few famous Downtown landmarks, Rotary themed stops along the way, a drive through some of Rochester’s suburbs, two iconic Country Clubs and rolling farmland hills all the way to the Camp’s current location in southern Monroe County. Rotary will be hosting all participating NRPCA drivers and their guest to a Chicken BBQ lunch cookout at the Camp at the Rally’s completion. This Car Rally is but one of many, many events planned throughout the summer in celebration of the Camp’s Centennial.
If you are planning on attending, please register HERE so Rotary can make the appropriate preparations.
