Let’s take a leisurely ride to Coudersport, PA for a tour of the Eliot Ness Museum. Eliot Ness was made famous from the series “The Untouchables “, In real life he was a detective that was assigned to stop the mobs in Chicago and Cleveland. After his success in the police force, he settled in Coudersport PA. where his fame started, in fact the original script of the Untouchables was written in the Crittenden hotel across the street from the museum. See artifacts of al Capone, Tommy guns and countless other items from the era.

The drive is approx. 112miles, 2 1/2 hrs. There is a 50’s style diner called Fezz’s 4 miles east of town if we wanted to stop for lunch. Fezz’s is a original silk city diner built in Patterson NJ. in 1954 and trucked to its current location.

For those who may want to spend the night there is the historic Hotel Crittenden (only 6 rms), Millstream Inn or the Westgate just out of town.

Arrive at Terry Hills – 8:00am, drivers’ meeting – 8:15am, on the road by 8:30am.  Rest stop at Quicklee’s about halfway.
