Several group driving events are being planned this season for early Porsche cars. These include the 356, any long hood 911/912 (1964-1973) and all 914s. As is still true, these Porsches were the benchmarks of performance for sports cars of the day. Like all Porsches, they are happiest when driven.

May’s drive will take us from a 9AM meet-up at Newport Marina in Irondequoit, around the bay, and then head east on Lake Road with a stop for coffee in Pultneyville. We’ll continue east to Sodus Bay, Chimney Bluffs (East Bay), Port Bay, and then have lunch at Turtle Cove Marina on Little Sodus Bay. The drive back will take us through Wolcott and Sodus with a stop for ice cream in Williamson. The mapped route is about 120 miles with the total driving distance depending on your home start. Please email bruce.smith@rit.edu for more information and to confirm participation.
