Chili Run to Letchworth

This event is RAIN OR SHINE!  We have an enclosed pavilion so if it’s cold and rainy, you can get out of the weather.

Join the Niagara Region PCA for a fun scenic drive to Letchworth State Park, the “Grand Canyon of the East”.

8:30am – Meet at Garber Porsche of Rochester, 3955 W. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14623. They are very graciously hosting breakfast for us again this year.  We need a headcount for Garber, deadline for responding is October 8th. 

9:30am– Departure for Letchworth State Park. We will tour the park’s Portageville entrance, where the event will technically end.  You may continue through the park at your leisure and stop at the South Pavilion at the North end of the park.

The park entry fee is $10. Bring cash.

1:15-3:45pm – North Highbanks Pavilion at Letchworth

There will be CHILI, hotdogs, hamburgers, sausages and salads.  Drinks: Water, soda, beer, wine and coffee.

Everything has to be removed from the shelter when we leave. Anything you bring into the park, you must take back out with you.  Letchworth is a “carry in – carry out” park. There will be no trash pick up after we leave. We would appreciate it if you would take leftovers and extras back home with you. We would like to leave a good impression with the park personnel. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

If you prefer to skip the breakfast but would still like to participate in the drive, please arrive by 9:15 so that you can attend the Driver’s Meeting.

Bring your hiking shoes, and camera.

Please RSVP to Renee Sliwinski.  Again, please indicate if you are attending the breakfast and/or Chili Run and how many.  RSVP deadline is October 8th, to allow for final preparations.  We are also looking for desserts.  If you would like to bring something, please include that intention in your rsvp.  Rich is looking for 8 folks to help set up prior to the start. Due to the rising costs of this event, we are asking non PCA members to pay $10 per person.  Checks should be made out to Niagara PCA and mailed to Renee Sliwinski, 3595 Pohl Rd., Alden, NY 14004 prior to the event.
