High Performance Driver Education

The mission and purpose of the Porsche Club of America’s Driver Education Program is to provide a safe, structured and controlled teaching and learning environment. The PCA DE Program is designed so that participants can improve their driving abilities and acquire a better understanding of vehicle dynamics and driving safety. Participants will experience first-hand the capabilities of high performance automobiles in a controlled, closed-course environment and acquire skills that will enhance safer vehicle operation in all driving situations.

Niagara on the Road program provides a unique opportunity to drive on a variety of tracks in the US and Canada with the camaraderie of your fellow Niagara HPDE drivers. Niagara kicked off our inaugural “On The Road” program in 2012 by herding 20+ track enthusiast and caravanning them all down to Virginia International Raceway to attend a two day open track event with David Murry Track Days. Subsequent years included Allegheny Region PCA at Mid Ohio, Calabogie Motorsports Park in Canada with the Patroon Region BMW club and the Ottawa Region BMW Club, and last year visiting the fabled Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the Mid-Ohio club.

**Please note: This HPDE event is not sponsored by NRPCA, it is sponsored and hosted by Chin Motorsports, hence it will not be covered by the PCA Insurance program. Also, though some of our participants may be part of an informal caravan to head to and back from the track, those activities are likewise not sponsored by NRPCA and therefore not covered by PCA Insurance.**

Tire Rack Street Survival

In addition to our High Performance Driver Education program, the Niagara Region PCA is also concerned with the safety of teen drivers. This article from US Insurance Agents discusses and makes suggestions regarding Common Risks Faced by Teen Drivers. Teen crashes and teen-driving fatalities are entirely too common. Tire Rack Street Survival Teen Driver Safety Program is a course that we know helps significantly reduce these tragic accidents. Niagara provides instructors and volunteers for the Genesee Valley Chapter BMW CCA Street Survival program. Please visit http://www.streetsurvival.orgto learn more about the Tire Rack Street Survival® program.
